5 Things You Can Do to Improve Your Vision Naturally

Improve Your Vision Naturally?

If you are one of the millions of Americans who suffer from poor vision or any number of eye ailments, then you know how frustrating it can be to not have the ability to see the world clearly without the use of glasses or undergoing a potentially dangerous surgical procedure. However, there is hope. In fact, there are a number of ways you can help your vision naturally and without spending a lot of money.

Here are the top 5 things you can do to improve vision naturally.

Up your Vitamin A intake. Vitamin A contains beta-carotene, which is on the top of the list of how to improve your eyes naturally when it comes to natural elements. Great sources of Vitamin A are: spinach, cheese, tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, oranges, milk, and soy beans, just to name a few. By eating these foods or taking Vitamin A supplements, you can boost your vision naturally.

Eat more raw foods. A good deal of what we eat today is filled with preservatives and lack the nutrition that our bodies crave. Eating raw foods not only allows you to avoid the chemicals often found in many products on the market today but, by not cooking the food items, you are getting every bit of the vitamins and minerals that it has to offer. Great foods to eat raw to improve vision are: root vegetables, cereals, cabbage, spinach, and nuts.

Avoid straining your eyes. Most of us now spend a good amount of our time either staring at a computer screen or a television set, and both activities put a great strain on our eyes. So, try to avoid spending a lot of time watching TV, and take frequent breaks away from the computer screen. You will most likely see a marked improvement in your vision quickly, and help you to achieve vision correctness.

Eye exercises. Eye exercises, such as those put forth by the Bates Method, are a great and effective way to improve vision naturally and simply. Techniques such as cupping your eyes and sun-gazing are highly useful in training your eyes to see clearly, without unnecessary surgeries or prescriptive lenses.

Don’t use glasses as a crutch. This may seem like a strange tip, but it’s probably the most important one on this list. Often the very glasses and contact lenses that we depend on are the things that are harming our vision. This is because our eyes do not have the ability to function properly on their own if we rely too heavily on the prescriptive lenses we’ve been wearing.

Merlin Fraser author of Inner Space trilogy

You have no doubt heard of the books by John le Carré, ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy,’ or the new film of that title. OK meet Merlin Fraser, ‘Sailor, Oilman, Businessman, Writer.’ True it doesn’t seem to have the same magical ring to it but that is the route I took from school to author. Not the most direct path I’ll grant you but one that has given me the experiences and the courage to turn a vague dream into a passion and beyond.
I have always been interested in the mysterious paranormal world and have sought to find explanations for many of the claims made for things that have happened. For example, ‘out of body or near death’ experiences, simply put there are just far too many examples on record to be dismissed.
Just recently science is starting to admit just how little we really know about the inner workings of the human brain and the mind. Divided into the conscious and subconscious they have finally proved by experiment that our subconscious mind plays a far more important role in our day to day lives than previously thought. So it maybe just possible that my stories will take you back to where we lost faith in our true subconscious abilities.

My books are a trilogy of murder mysteries under the INNER SPACE banner, why Inner Space and is there a link? Indeed there is, within my stories you will find an underlying paranormal theme, however this is more from a scientific than the spiritual standpoint of view, but I do explore and use both sides.
The title Inner Space alludes to the inner space of the human mind and in the stories I explore the hidden powers of our mind which through lack of use I believe have been lost over the centuries but merely lay dormant just below the surface of us all. I know that science has been used to investigate such things and for the most part failed to reach any definitive conclusions but what if they are trying too hard ?
In Book One I introduce you to my central character. Take one well rounded down to earth police detective with his life and career in a rut he is trapped in the depths of his own private mid-life crisis and just going through the motions of day to day life. Now take this man and turn his world on its head with a series of cases that challenge everything he once held to be true.
Please meet British Police Detective Inspector Nick Burton as we join him on the very day that changes his life and his beliefs forever.
As the stories develop I introduce more characters some of whom you are never quite sure if they are good guys or bad, not that that stops our hero from falling in love with a girl called Jill with beautiful green eyes.
Together we enter the shadowy world of the paranormal, out of body experiences and explore the question of ‘what if?’
By book two, ‘The Reluctant Nemesis’ we find the newly promoted Nick Burton held back from going to his new job when a flu epidemic leaves the police force under manned. Taken off his own sick bed to investigate what appears to be a simple murder case Burton soon realises there is no such thing as a routine murder as the bodies pile up and he is left with the most unlike suspect ever.
In this story I explore the human minds ability to regress to past lives often with unusual or even dangerous side effects. Of course the underlying spectre of astral projection or remote viewing is never far away.
As we come to book three The All Seeing Eye’ we enter the world of the ‘Conspiracy’ theorists, who see danger in the strange symbols on the back of a US Dollar note and link these to the highly secret world of Freemasonry and members of ‘The Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine.’ These theorists ask are there direct links between these groups and those invited to attend the closed highly secret meetings of the Bilderberg group and are there ties with a new Illuminati seeking ‘A New World Order ?’
Not the usual stamping ground of a British police officer however, in what I hope is a thrilling roller coaster ride as the concluding part of the INNER SPACE trilogy sees all Burton’s worst fears coming to fruition and he is in way over his head in an investigation the facts of which, if revealed, would have his leaders bringing in the men in white coats!

Interview with Barbara Villemez

Today we welcome Barbara Villemez, author of Dreaming Dark.

Good Morning Barbara, and welcome to the creatinglifestyle blog.

Q. Perhaps we can start by hearing a little about yourself, where you come from, what you do.

A. I’ve had a lot of different experiences. As a military brat growing up I’ve been in a lot of different countries. I’m a psychotherapists, clinical hypnotherapist and, recently, a university instructor.
I’m also credentialed as a Feng Shui practitioner and teacher. My private practice was in Dallas where I held workshops for women’s empowerment as well as lecturing at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Q. So you have moved away from Dallas. Where are you now?

A. I’m now living in New Mexico and devoting my time to writing.

Q. I gather you are currently writing a series. Can you give us some background to these novels

A. Dreaming Dark  is the first in a trilogy. I have finished the second novel, Dark Whisper, which takes place in the Big Horn mountains of Wyoming.

Q. And what are you currently working on?

A. I’ve started on the third of the trilogy, which takes place on the Navajo reservation, northern New Mexico, and I’m rewriting a workbook and tape set that I published in Dallas for my female patients and am now creating it as a book with lots of updates. Fifty Female and Fabulous: A Holistic Guide to Love, Sex and Relationships has more spirituality then the original and I’ve had fun writing it. I hope to have that out as an ebook this month.

Q. Perhaps you can now tell our readers a little about Dreaming Dark .

A. The story takes place in Minoan Crete in the 1550’s BCE and in present day Dallas with both stories running concurrently. Cate O’Connor, psychologist, has clairvoyant dreams of events past and present but she keeps this ability secret. She meets Mitch Stafford, paranormal investigator, at his book signing when she visits Barnes and Noble to look for books on dream analysis. The attraction is immediate and a love affair begins, the pair discovering a familiarity with each other. Cate then begins to have disorienting flashbacks to a ancient time and Mitch thinks she is experiencing visions of a previous life. The story builds as she is stalked and a patient, her maid and then her ex-boyfriend are all murdered.

Each chapter is followed with the story of Kyra, a young girl captured by slave traders from a coastal village on the Anatolian coast. Kyra is sold to a priest on the island of Crete. Groomed to be a priestess she falls in love with the guard, Panos, something which is forbidden. Their story ends tragically when Thera (Santorini) erupts causing a massive earthquake and tsunami, devastating Knossos on the island. Cate is kidnapped by the killer and the ending is exciting. In the epilogue the two stories are pulled together to the amazement of  homicide detective, Mike O’Meara.

Q. That sounds an exciting must-read, where can our readers find your book and your own profile to learn more about you.

A. My book can be found at  and my profile at

Thank you Barbara for taking time out to giving our readers this opportunity to meet you. It only leaves me now to wish you every success with your books and future writing.
